Hello there!
I assume, you are here to learn more about how I got in this creative industry. Here we go!
I studied cinema, television and radio at The Academy of Communication Arts in Istanbul. In 2003 I started my career as a production assistant and moved up the ranks to a second unit director at the major TV channels and production companies in Istanbul. After deciding to study more about my field in North America, I moved to Vancouver, Canada where I studied film production at the Vancouver Film School in 2008. After taking my first sound class from my teacher/mentor Will Meadow I decided right away that I will be a sound mixer.
After graduation, I moved to New York City where I have been working as production sound mixer and editor in short films, feature films, commercials, documentaries and online content.
I calculated the other day that more than half of my life has been devoted to the art of story telling and what a journey it has been.
